Getting a cmd_shell where it is restricted

I have seen in many places like colleges, Net cafes, even more places where security is concerned, most of them restricts command prompt, but they aren’t exactly.

Here is a few tricks where you can open up a command prompt, where it is restricted,

1. Right click on the desktop, click on new, then click on shortcut and now type cmd, click on next and finish, now you can see a new shortcut created for cmd on your desktop.

2. You can also create a shortcut for %windir%\system32\cmd.exe or type it in run and hit enter.

3. Open-up a notepad and type command.com and save it with the extension .bat ( CMD.bat ) and open the file that you have saved and now you are done.

4. open up a internet explorer and you can also try moving to the below paths,..

C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe

%windir%\system32\cmd.exe

%systemroot%\system32\cmd.exe

%HOMEDRIVE%\windows\system32\cmd.exe

%SYSTEMDRIVE%\windows\system32\cmd.exe

%compspec%

5. Once you got a cmd_shell, then you are done with it, now you can start proceeding more with it.

Most of them think what people are going to doing just using a command prompt, but they doesnt know its an complete OS ( DOS ), you can do anything with a cmd_shell even more than the GUI environment, that’s why most of geeks are now moving towards Unix based environment. Its really a power tool. For more reference on what to do with command prompt, you can refer to the Batch programming section.

happy hacking….
